In
1990, Hoverspeed pioneered operations of the world's first
vehicle-carrying catamaran, the seacat, hoverspeed Great
Britain. Today, hoverspeed operates a fleet of four high-speed
catamarans on cross-Channel services to Calais, Boulogne
and Ostend.
Hoverspeed also pioneered operation of the superseacat,
the largest monohull fast car ferry to operate in UK waters,
and is currently operating between Newhaven and Dieppe.
Hoverspeed's Dover - Ostend route revived a 147-year tradition
of ferry services between the UK and Belgium, and is now
the sole cross-Channel link between the two countries.
Hoverspeed owns and operates two 81-metre seacat catamaran
craft - Rapide and Diamant and two 74-metre seacats - hoverspeed
Great Britain and seacat Danmark. The 100 metre long superseacat
One makes the Newhaven to Dieppe crossing in under two hours
compared to the conventional ferry crossing time of four
and a half hours.
"Hoverspeed decided to order some sturdy,
hard wearing sports bags for daily use and also to use as
competition prizes at public and trade events to increase
brand awareness. Fat Dog were helpful and attentive, helping
me to choose the right material, style and colour to meet
our requirements." "The production and turnaround
was very swift and the results were exactly as we hoped.
The guys at Fat Dog did a great job…I would certainly
recommend Fat Dog every time."
